70-70-20

I went to the doctor for my 2 month visit on Monday. I like my Doctor, she calls me "Gordito" and tells me I'm sweet and handsome. On this visit however, I received some startling information - the "percentiles!" Aparently there is some voodoo chart that compares me to all the other babies in terms of height, weight, and head size. It turns out I am in the 70th percentile for my height (I am tall), the 70th percentile for my weight (I am Gordito), and I am in the 20th percentile for my head (I have inherited my father's tiny dome). Then they stuck me with a needle. The End.

Milestone

This weekend we visited Rancho Cucamongolia again. And, ladies and gents, I WENT IN THE POOL. Yes, I did. My mom stuck me in "swim chonies" which make me look like I should be on the French riviera swilling something fruity, but whatever. I only went in up to my tummy, which we all know is sensitive, but I liked it! My cousin Mia was there again, in the pool AGAIN.

Morning Play

I got this new toy bar for my bouncy chair. It's pretty cool, the flowers spin and this guy in the middle keeps checking me out. I didn't care for the toy bar much at first, but now I can spin the flowers myself. I'm very advanced, you know. Mom might want to put it a little further from my face though - she's still learning.

Microphone Check One

So apparently my mom and dad have been married for three years. That's a long time. I am two months old, and so they have been married for my life times 18. That's major. My mom, in her infinite wisdom and caring, booked my dad two hours in this really cool recording studio in SB so he could lay down some tracks. I got to go along, you can see me in the reflection of the bottom picture. I am his muse.

This weekend mom and dad took me down to Rancho Cucaomnga to see Grandma Candy, Papa Tony and Grandpa Fred. I spent some quality time on Grandpa Fred's lap explaining to him how awesome my pacifier is and discussing the merits of the Obama tax plan. I would bubble and squeak and he would smile in response - I take it he agrees with my economic forecast. I also got to know my cousin Mia better, she likes to swim - like, a lot. Like, every time I see her. I think she must be a fish.

Visiting Sutera

Today I went over to my friend Sutera's house to hang out for a while. We played on this cool mat that she has and I hung out while mom took a bunch of pictures of her. I got a little jealous that I wasn't the center of attention for once, but I survived. Sutera has kind of a thing for me, as you can see.

My Weekend in Arroyo Grande with the Timpany's

This weekend, I celebrated my successful labor with Labor Day spent in Arroyo Grande meeting my Grandpa Don, Grandma Megan, Uncle Dawson, Uncle Jamie, Tia Francesca, Cousin Amber, and Amy and Phil Hartman (our gracious hosts and my great aunt and uncle - I think, it gets confusing and I am only 6 weeks old, so cut me some slack).

We had a great time. I taught them how to stretch their arms, charmed them with my occasional smile, and showed them my amazing diaper filling capabilities. They were impressed, but grandparents are an easy audience.

More pictures here!

Tummy Time Sucks

This week my mom made a more concerted effort to get me to do what is referred to in the baby business as "tummy time." It's designed to strengthen my back and neck muscles so I can grow up to be a tall, strong linebacker for the Detroit Lions or something. I hate it. Tummy time stinks and I am no good at it. No doubt she will make me keep trying it though. Looks like it might be a career in the Bolshoi Ballet for me. Wouldn't Grandma Christine be proud?
